Callahan is gone!

Yeah, I know it's old news, but just in case you don't know why it's worth repeating:

Nebraska vs. Nevada: 52 - 10 W

Nebraska at Wake Forest 20 – 17 W

Nebraska vs. USC 31 – 49 L

Nebraska vs. Ball State 41 – 40 L

Nebraska vs. Iowa St. 35 – 17 W

Nebraska at Missouri 6 – 41 L

Nebraska vs. Oklahoma St. 14 – 45 L

Nebraska vs. Texas A&M 14 – 36 L

Nebraska at Texas 25 – 28 L

Nebraska at Kansas 39 – 76 L

Nebraska vs. Kansas St. 73 – 31 W

Nebraska at Colorado 51 – 65 L

I know...we really won against Ball State, but when the best you can do is only 1 point, I call that a loss.

Anyhow, here's hoping that the Husker Women's Volleyball team will do us proud!!!

Big Trouble in Little China

If you want to truly know "fear", catch a ride on this loony bin on wheels.

The Cherry Bus company prides itself in offering insanely low bus fares to those daring folks wishing to travel from Chinatown to Chinatown all along the East Coast. So for a meager $22, fine Huskers such as ourselves can travel from Philly to NYC (in route to Boston). But what the incredibly low bus fare doesn't tell you is that while the bus drivers are legally licensed to drive a 60-seat coffin on wheels, our beloved driver still handled the roads like a rickshaw driver going down Mount Huangshan in an ice storm. In fact, I'm reminded of City Airlines in the South Park episode "It's Christmas in Canada."

Philly MOA

So we went by the Philadelphia Museum of Art to see what was going on. This place was fantastic! Lots of great Renoir works. The Tibetan exhibit was particularly nice as well.

Rocky & Philadelphia

First stop on the East Coast...Philadelphia. It's a fun little town with strange boxer statues abound. Notice how the wierdness of the statue radiates such that it distorted the picture...

Jeff's long lost brother

This guy has absolutely nothing to do with this blog, but I hurt myself laughing every time I look at this picture!

The return of Tom

Well, dear readers, I return from my autumnal sabbatical to find that my beloved Huskers have gotten thumped by the Kansas Gayhawks. And it wasn't just a small win for them, it was a record score against us!!! My gawd, we're almost as bad as Baylor this year!!! But fear not, Tom Osborne has returned and I rest assured that he will right the Husker boat before it sinks to the bottom.

I think it's time to take the message to the streets that the Husker's are on their way back to the top of the polls. To kick things off I have hired a plane to head for the East Coast. I would like you to meet the pilot, Typhoid Mary. Weird name, I know, but the price was right and she can do this thing with her tongue that...well, that's another story for another day.
